Life is just one big bucket of disappointments. I tell ya, all we do is disappoint. Your friends aren't reliable at times, or your parents don't live up to the requirements of their role.
Okay, so today, i was planning to go out, but by some freak "miracle", it was cancelled. Gosh ,this dampened my spirits, ,i was looking forward to this all week. Couldn't have been more excited.
It was like finding a Christmas present hidden in your parents' bedroom and then finding out that it wasn't actually for you.
But i suppose this wouldn't even make it into the scale of worse things to happen in life. There are worse things in life but most of us choose to ignore it or pretend they don't exist. Those people who ignore it aren't called optimistic, but just plain ignorant and scared. What it means to be an optimists isn't just about thinking positive and ignoring everything else, but it is also knowing that there are both good and bad things that happen in life, but choosing about thinking about the good things in life is how they want to live their life.
i know that someday we will all notice the rainbow, but for now, we will have to do with just catching a glimpse of the cloud with a silver lining.
